I'm an archaeologist who works in the ancient Mediterranean. I find the ceramic record an effective way of addressing questions of economic activity and social behavior. I am a Research Scientist at the American Numismatic Society and a Consulting Scholar in the Mediterranean Section of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
